Looking for a name badge template in Word, Google Docs or Canva?
Prepare a full set of name badges from one layout by pasting names or importing a CSV exported from Excel or Google Sheets, with each row filling a separate badge.
Adjust the design once to update every badge, enable auto-fit for longer names and give each group an accent color so speakers, staff and guests are easy to recognize.
Download the finished PDF in your chosen sheet layout and print at 100% scale, with an alignment test available before you use your badge stock.

Name badge template questions
Which name badge template size should I use?
Match the size to the holders or label sheets you already have. Avery 5395 adhesive badges suit short events and need no holder. 4 x 3 inserts, including Avery 74459, fit the most common clear holders on lanyards. 3 x 4 inserts suit portrait holders, CR80 is the size of a standard ID card, and 4 x 6 credentials leave room for large role labels.
Are these name badge templates really free?
Your PDF sheets and PNG downloads contain only your design, without a watermark or added credit line. Add your own logo, choose your badge size and print a complete set for up to 500 people at no cost.
Do I need Word, Google Docs or Canva to use these templates?
No, the templates open in the badge maker in your web browser, so there is nothing to install. Paste names straight into the page or import a CSV saved from Excel or Google Sheets, then export a PDF and print it from any computer. Your names and logos stay in your browser.
Will the template line up with my badge sheets?
Each size is laid out to the sheet spacing shown on its page. Print at 100% or Actual size, never Fit to page. Before a full run, print the outlines-only alignment test on plain paper, hold it against a badge sheet, and shift the grid in 1/32 inch steps if the outlines sit off.
Can I change a template's colors, fonts and logo?
Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP logo, adjust colors and fonts, and move text or shapes to suit your event. Group colors apply across your list, so speakers, staff and attendees can share one layout while keeping their roles visible.
