Make every name easy to recognize
Make classmates easier to recognize with a clear name, graduating year and an optional former name supplied by the guest. Add your school colors and logo to one design, then print the RSVP list and a few blank badges for late arrivals.

Ask guests which current and former names they want printed, then keep the recognizable name easy to find below the class year. Use the answers as supplied instead of assuming that everyone has changed or retained a surname.
Class photos, mascots and what a reunion badge can show
Add your school logo or mascot where you have permission to use it, keeping the guest's name larger than the decoration. Check any photographs for print quality and leave enough space for longer names.

How to make class reunion name tags
Put the class year front and center
Open Hello My Name Is or Conference Classic, add your mascot image in the Logo tab, and make the {{group}} text large and bold so it can carry Class of 2006.
Bring in the RSVP spreadsheet
In Google Sheets choose File, Download, Comma-separated values, or in Excel save as CSV UTF-8. Upload the file and map Name to Name, Attending As to Group and Guest Of to custom1.
Separate classmates from guests
In People, keep Class of 2006 as the classmate label and set the Guest group label to Reunion Guest. Step through the preview to catch names with parentheses that need auto-fit.
Print the test sheet and walk-in extras
Print the outline-only alignment test on plain paper, nudge the offset if the outlines drift, export the PDF, and include a few Class of 2006 badges with an empty write-in line for late arrivals.
Questions about class reunion name tags
How should maiden names appear on a class reunion name tag?
Print the current first and last name with the school-era last name in parentheses, such as Jenny (Smith) Carter. That puts both names where classmates can see them. If someone prefers only their current name or only their school name, follow their RSVP. For long combinations, auto-fit shrinks the text, or you can move the former name to a smaller second line.
Can each classmate's badge show their senior yearbook photo?
Yes, as long as you have a scan for each person. Give each classmate their own photo and keep the mascot or school crest as the shared logo. Chasing down portraits for a whole class takes time, so a board of scanned yearbook pages at check-in is still a fine stand-in, and it gives the same nostalgia without slowing down badge printing.
How big should the class year be on a reunion name tag?
Treat the year and the first name as the two headline items. On an Avery 5395 tag, a class year around 20 to 28 point in a display font like Oswald or Bebas Neue sits well above a 36 to 44 point name. For an all-class reunion where several years attend, put each year in the Group column so every class gets its own accent color.
Should spouses and dates get their own high school reunion name tags?
Yes, since guests are the people who know nobody in the room. Put them in a Guest group so their accent color differs from classmates, and add Guest of Jenny (Smith) Carter as a second line. That tells classmates who to introduce them to and saves the guest from explaining the connection all night.
Does the reunion committee need to sign up to import an RSVP list?
